Potters House Learning Center in Downtown Rockville to Dedicate New, Safer Playscape

Community leaders, volunteers, children and their families will be on hand Saturday, October 7 at 11 a.m. at the Potters House Learning Center on Brooklyn Street in Rockville to dedicate a new high quality playscape for use by the children who attend the Potters House, a nonprofit daycare and learning center in town. Potters House Executive Director Leslie Suarez will be on hand to welcome guests for a brief dedication ceremony that will be followed by a tour of the learning facilities.

Crossroads Community Church of Vernon organized efforts to provide the kids at the Potters House with a safer and more interesting place to play. Crossroads Associate Pastor Barbara Ettinger notes, “Our volunteers were honored to head up this worthwhile project, a project that would have been impossible without enthusiastic support from the community in terms of volunteer help and donations of material—either out right or at a significant discount.”

Participants in the Potters House Learning Center Playscape Project included:

Crossroads Community Church of Vernon
Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies
Woodland Gardens of Manchester
Cuddles & Kisses Child Care of Tolland
Fashion Opticians of Vernon
Garden Barn of Vernon
Medieval Electric
